Ireland (IE)Answered from the same data and calculations used above.
The ISIN of First Trust Cloud Computing UCITS ETF is IE00BFD2H405. It trades in USD. The ISIN identifies the fund itself, so every exchange listing of this share class shares it.
First Trust Cloud Computing UCITS ETF (SKYU) charges a total expense ratio of 0.60% a year, about $60 a year on a $10,000 holding. The TER is deducted continuously from fund assets rather than billed to you, so it shows up as a drag on returns and never as a separate charge.
No — First Trust Cloud Computing UCITS ETF (SKYU) is an accumulating share class, so dividends received from its holdings are reinvested inside the fund instead of being paid out. You realise that income as capital growth when you sell, which in many jurisdictions defers the tax event rather than triggering one each distribution.
First Trust Cloud Computing UCITS ETF (SKYU) is domiciled in Ireland (IE). A Ireland-domiciled UCITS fund receives US dividends at a 15% treaty withholding rate inside the fund, versus the 30% statutory rate on dividends paid directly to a non-resident (generally 25% for an Indian resident under the India-US treaty with a valid W-8BEN). The fund-level 15% is deducted before NAV and is not reclaimable by you. Its shares also sit outside US estate tax, which applies to US-situs assets above $60,000 for non-resident aliens.
First Trust Cloud Computing UCITS ETF (SKYU) tracks the ISE CTA Cloud Computing, holding 63 positions. Any fund tracking the same index gives you materially the same exposure, so cost, size and share class are usually what separate the alternatives, not the strategy.
First Trust Cloud Computing UCITS ETF (SKYU) holds $453m in assets. Size matters mainly for liquidity and durability: larger funds tend to quote tighter spreads and are far less likely to be closed or merged away.
Over the measured window SKYU showed annualised volatility of about 30.5% and a worst peak-to-trough fall of 53.1%. Volatility describes the size of a typical swing; the drawdown is what actually happened at the worst moment, and it is the number worth checking you could have held through.
SKYU returned 57.6% in total over the trailing five years, measured in USD. Past performance describes what the index did, not what it will do, and for an index tracker it is mostly a statement about the market rather than about the manager.
First Trust Cloud Computing UCITS ETF (SKYU) launched on 2018-12-27, giving it about 8 years of history. Note that a price series for one exchange listing can start later than the fund itself if the listing was added afterwards.
